After reviewing Groups 3 & 4 you can easily see why we didn't bother to mention Groups 5-8. Playing any hand in Groups 3 & 4 requires you feel comfortable with your knowledge of both position and your opponents. Not having the ability to lay these down or chasing them to the river against any average player can lead to disaster for your bankroll. You will end up being second best most of the time either losing to a higher kicker, higher straight, or higher flush.

Bluffing
Bluffing is an important part of poker and it is a valuable tool for poker players. Bluffing can often win pots, and it allows players to create deception and uncertainty in the minds of their opponents. But done to much or at the wrong times it can cost you most if not all of your stack.
Bluffing works better against a smaller number of opponents, and often will not succeed against a larger number of opponents. Watch yourself when you are in the small blind against a weak big blind defender.
Do not bluff players who tend to call too much. If they're a “calling Station” no amount of bet or raise will drive them away. Bluffs tend to succeed better against players who are more willing to make a fold.
Be careful of bluffing too much, as opponents will soon catch on and failed to be fooled. Greed can cost you big time |
